Preschool Outdoor Environment Newsletter – 01.18.2020
Hello Preschool Families!
This week in outdoor environment, we have had a few exciting new developments.
First, we have two new friends, and they have been leaving us a gift each day. Chickens! We are still working on their names but we hope to announce them next week. So far, we are receiving a blue-green egg each morning, and the girls have adjusted well to life in our preschool coop.
Over the past few days, we have been working on some special artwork for our fundraiser on February 29th, A Night in Atlantis. Each preschool classroom is creating their own project for the art auction. I won’t reveal too many details yet, but we have been having a lot of messy fun.
And finally, we will have a new addition to our Outdoor Environment next week. An amazing parent volunteer has been hard at work getting our music wall installed, and it will be ready for play on Monday morning. We will have a drum, a thunder board, and a musical fence.
“Music can touch us in a way that nothing else can. No better gift can we give to the children than to open this door for them.”
-Dr. Maria Montessori
This month, we will be planting our spring garden. We would love any donations of organic soil and mushroom compost to help our plants grow. Your support for our garden is greatly appreciated!
